Time is running and in a couple of days we will meet in Campina Grande. It is with great joy that we welcome all participants of the Second Campina International Music Festival. This event, the only one of its kind in the state of Paraíba, provides an excellent opportunity for exchange amongst a variety of professionals and students. It creates an opportunity to amplify the job sector and augment public policy as related to regional art and culture.

The governance for the festival is formed of professors from Brazil as well as from other countries. Participating faculty comes from the United States, France, Italy, England, Korea, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Israel. Individual participants have extensive experience as educators and performers at well-known educational institutions. Additionally, they have experience in prominent instrumental and vocal productions. This assures us a rich environment for an intense exchange of knowledge and musical presentations.

This year, in addition to master classes and concerts, we are instituting the Radegundis Feitosa Award. It will be awarded to a musician or culturally artistic entity with relevant performance activities in local, regional or national realms. Campina Grande, the Queen of the Borborema Highlands, also known as the capital of industry and home of the world's largest Saint John's festival, accordingly and warmly welcomes musicians and spectators from every corner of the world to our highland winter-land. We offer the hospitality of our music, art and life.
